This is the second part of my make up collection series. Here in this article I am gonna share with you the face powders that I currently own.
And yes, it’s not a lot like my other complexion products like foundation.
Through the years, I am proud to say I have been able to minimize this category of my make up items.
This is one of the hardest to pan or to finish up or even to make progress on, in my opinion. Not unless you only have one that you use over and over again everyday.
And this is the situation on my Essence Brighten Up Banana Powder.
I have been very fatihful to this ever since I started my make up baskets this year. And I am proud to say I have come this far. I think this would be gone up until year 2021 will end.
Essence is a very affordable brand. Most of the products are made in Poland. But I must say that the make up items are either a hit or miss but some are really good like this powder.
This next powder from Hourglass is a make up item I originally purchased for my make up kit. I wasn’t able to use it that much, it was still very much intact when I stopped freelancing.
Currently, this is another face powder that I use everyday together with my Essence powder. But! I only apply this under my eyes, sometimes on the lid, also at the high points of my cheeks and kinda use it as a very suttle highlight.
I know. This is marketed as a face powder and it is truly lovely. Everybody hypes this up and there is a valid reason why. This is really pretty especially if you have normal skin, mature and even dry skin. This will easily light up the skin and it will give freshness on the face. For oily skin folks, I must say this bluntly: this is not a powder for you.
I have extremely oily skin and I tried applying this on my whole face. I promise you. It is not a lasting powder, even if you use the right primers and matte foundations with good setting sprays.
But I still think it is really pretty, as a natural highlighter not as face powder. So I am enjoying it more like that. If you are not into metallics or blinding highlighter, I recommend this product! It is not budget-friendly but if you will get it at a discount, it is totally worth a try.
Yeah I know, we started this conversation with a budget-friendly product from Essence and now we are here LoL. I am now gonna share with you the most luxurious brand I’ve ever tried.

30 Naturel – Transluscent 2
I first purchased the pressed powder back when I was almost at the end of my course at the make up school. I saw this in one of my classmate’s kit. And I’ve seen some videos on youtube. Yes, youtube LOL regarding this product. And when I saw it personally, I was like, I have to have this in my life.
And so when I got the chance, I finally bought it.
You know, I’m not really into branded products, I am just a simple girl, just as long as a product is useful for me I don’t even care, I mean, it’s just a name right? And I have found a lot of beautiful products at very affordable prices.
So for me it was the very first time I have ever gone into a counter at Coin, asking for the lady that I’m interested to buy the Chanel powder. I was soooo intimidated. I’ve never been in those counters you know. But lo and behold! I got it!
I am also very proud of this, as I hit pan! This is not an everyday product for me. This powder has been living in my pouch in my bag so that I can use it to touch up when I am out. And I rarely do that! Like what I said I have oily skin so I do use a lot of oil absorbing paper rather than powder.
So for me, this is really an achievement because I have this powder for awhile now. And as much as I love it, if only I can hold onto it forever, it is not realistic. I don’t want this to get old and expire. So I really want to use this more.
I never even thought I would be able to get another one in my lifetime LOL.

But yes 2020 was so awful. I never got the chance to open this and enjoy it yet. This has been sitting inside my drawer the whole time during the pandemic.
I felt a little guilty because I kind of shoved it aside, I mean, I paid a lot for this item but all of the crazy things happened in the world and yeah, it’s just what it is.
Now that I am back to wearing make up again very often, after my Essence powder, I am finally gonna be able to use this most awaited product in my life. I can’t wait!
