Estee Lauder Double Wear

I want to take a moment to discuss this make up item as this is my all-time favorite foundation! Especially when I had an extremely oily skin during my 20s.

As I mature my skin is changing, I am still oily as I have always stated in my other skin care articles but not as extreme as it was before.

The claim of this complexion product is grandiose! It says it is 24 hour wear!

I have always worn this foundation at work because I know I would be out for at least 10 hours. I would be honest, I never wore this 24 hours, but I think 10 hours staying power is really tough to beat.

It has an impeccable finish all day. It really “stays in place”. I don’t have to think about my foundation because it remains fresh and natural, sweat resistant, humidity. It doesn’t oxidize or stains your dress. This for me is also a plus! No need to retouch! So if you have an event that you have to go to, this is incredible!

it is lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin. I didn’t have any issue, like, it didn’t cause me any irritation as I have sensitive skin as well. The foundation says it has no oil and no perfume but it’s got spf. To be honest with you, I am not all for make up and skin care together. I appreciate that it has spf, yes, I mean, great. But I do use my own spf with my moisturiser. It is blendable and easy to work with. The coverage says it is medium, but I do consider this as full coverage. It is just my opinion because this really covers the skin so well.

According to the website, it is appropriate to all skin types. And having an oily and sensitive skin, this works well with me. It is matte but very natural, not a mask-like foundation. I cannot answer for normal and dry skin, though.

This is not my first bottle of Estee Lauder double wear. I have bought this again and again in years. That is why I actually purchased the pump as well, because I know that it is gonna be useful for me. (yes, unfortunately the pump is separate, you have to buy it. because the original bottle has only a cap). I have always bought 3wn tawny, and I bought 1n2 ecru so I can mix it with another darker foundation that I mistakenly bought. So I got this one instead. Again, though, I should emphasize that this is a foundation that I have always used alone and I like it a lot. And since I do like the formula a lot, it has also helped my other foundations and I was able to make them all work because of Estee Double Wear’s formula.
