Urisman King Choc-Nut Peanut Milk Chocolate has always been a childhood favorite! Choc-Nut is a popular Filipino treat- made with nuts and milk chocolate.
Choc-Nut is an iconic mini chocolate candy in Filipino culture. It is not the typical hard candy but more of a sweet treat which is in the form of powder. It has a crumbly texture and a rich flavor of nuts, mainly with cocoa powder and milk powder which makes it very distinguished from any other candies. I have never seen any other sweet similar to this in other countries. It is certainly not present here in Rome. That is why whenever someone goes on a vacation in the Philippines, I always ask for this as pasalubong!
As mentioned, it is made with only five ingredients: Roasted Peanuts, Cane Sugar, Milk Powder, Cocoa Powder & Vanilla
1 small pack contains 24 pieces Net wt. 200g (7.05 oz)
Choc nut is of course is proudly a Product of the Philippines
This is not a particularly healthy food item LOL! But I wanted to write an article about this as being one of my favorite nutty sweet ever since I was a child. It is one of the most well-known sweets in my origin country and I grew up with these little “candies”.
I tried to do some more research about this but unfortunately I didn’t find much information. I would have wanted to know more about the brand, the history of how the product came up. It has been present for decades! Like, I have been eating this since elementary days and I am in my 30’s now hahaha! It still makes me excited to eat it so it is obvious that this is a favorite.
I am really glad though that this still exists and up until now I can still enjoy it. I began my series about nuts and dry fruits so I decided to insert this one in.
I love a healthy diet and eating good food. But I also want to enjoy sweets, too. It has very little protein and lots of sugar! but still.. guys, I am a believer of moderation, I have said this a bunch of times in all of my articles. I am all for eating all I want in moderation. Depriving oneself is not a good attitude towards food. Just don’t exaggerate. Every now and then we are allowed to have our comfort food.
I hope you find this interesting, it is not one that I usually feature in my articles but I still want to share it with you. Thank you for reading! See you on my next article! Ciao!
