Chamomile Tea

This is part of my emergency drink =) I call it emergency as when I am a bit sick, I always opt for this drink before taking on medication. I don’t want to give you false beliefs that is why in all of my articles I state that you always have to consult your healthcare provider, guys, it is important as we are all different in our health and body.

It works for me though. It is not a drink that I drink for breakfast or afternoon tea. This is my drink when I am not feeling well or if I feel a little bit under the weather, or simply if I had a long day and I just want to relax at night. This has always had a calming effect for me. So I truly believe in that.

My favourite is Bonomelli from Italy but I got curious I didn’t know Twinings has one too. This has an aroma of honey and vanilla. Bonomelli has variants with honey too and it is either sweet or just pure.

These are the benefits of the Camomille tea according to my research:

• helps with anxiety
• diarrhea
• insomnia
• hemorroid
• stomach ache
• nausea
• vomiting,
• gastroesophageal reflux
• against colic in children and in case of skin problems.
  

I know that some skincare products and hair care too have camomile extracts as an ingredient because of its antibacterial effects with healing activity. I actually did try to wash my face using this LOL but I don’t think it helped my skin in anyway. I have sensitive, acne prone very oily skin you all know that but personally I didn’t really see any improvements at all. So it is up to you. I mean you can try if you want to just be mindful. I just think that Chamomile helps me more internally than externally.

Chamomile properties are:

• sedative but also antimicrobial
• antiseptic
• antibacterial
• anti-inflammatory
• carminative
• spasmolytic
• healing activity

This is why it cures a lot of body ailments because of this.

I can really say that it has the honey and vanilla aroma. It adds to the calming effect of the hot tea. I love that extra.
