All-in-one Micellar Water

I did feature here in my blog the facial cleanser which is my all time favorite (and I think will always be).

I have been using that since I was a teenager. I have tried a lot of variants until I found the lemon one which suits my skin’s needs as I have extremely oily skin.

I am pleased to know that the brand came out with another product. And I am amazed that now, they have the micellar water too. Same variant: lemon!

They came out with other variants too so you have other choices depending upon your skin’s needs. First of all, I like the packaging than my favorite cleanser. This bottle looks nice, thin and compact. This is called the Eskinol Naturals Clear All-in-one Micellar Water.

My dad bought this from the Philippines last year and I was actually telling him no, I need the facial cleanser but he didn’t find it and bought this instead. I wasn’t even aware that this new product came out and actually I am not even sure if it is new or it has been in the market for some time now. But definitely the last time I visited the Philippine this wasn’t around yet as I can remember. (6 years ago lol!)

I was surprised at first as I was not sure if they have discontinued my favorite lemon product or if they have reformulated it into this new one. New packaging, new formula as it it not only a cleanser but a make up remover too.

I went to their website to check if my facial cleanser has been discontinued fortunately it still exists. Maybe my dad went to a store and it was sold out so he bought this instead.
I am actually thrilled to try this. I have no complaints. I have a bunch of back ups and after several months of using it I can now finally say that this is a valid product.

Like the other cleanser, of course this is a lemon variant. It is for oily skin so that is also a plus for me.

It says on the product description:
-it mattifies without overdrying
-gently purifies and nourishes the skin
-removes oil, dirt and make up

0% alcohol
and it is dermatologically tested formula

Just moisten the cotton and wipe gently on skin, eyes, lips. And that is it. no rinsing required.

And that is how I use my other favorite cleanser as well. Especially at night when I am too tired to wash my face and I am not gonna lie, I don’t always wash my face anyway. I have learned that during my acne-prone years. It does affect my skin and aggravate it more than it could have helped. So that is why I am so happy that I have my cleanser because I can use it to remove both make up and dirt on my face and on my neck too!

I think the difference is the alcohol as this micellar water got nothing. And that is the first thing that came into my mind. Because it is less refreshing as my favorite cleanser. Whenever I use this it doesn’t dry up quickly I noticed that I had to fan out my face before applying my moisturizer and my sunscreen in the morning or my night cream before bed. It is not a bad thing, I was just used to the other cleanser as I have used that in years. And the way I believe that alcohol is not harmful to the skin. I know that a lot of people hate that in their skincare I mean we are all different. Of course you have to avoid alcohol especially if you are allergic or you have skin issues and sensitive skin.

I have oily skin so I know that I like the feel of it. I can’t help but compare it to this new one and is more greasy than my favorite. On the other hand I do feel this is lighter and of course it is water I can expect that. Very very similar to my other favorite miscelar water.

I am surprised that even though I have sensitive skin it is fine. I was afraid at first because of the transition to a new product. But I am ok and I am glad.

This is not as excellent as my favorite but like what I said, this is very valid. If you need a very light miscelar water, you can try this out. If you also have been a lover of Eskinol for a time I just think that the quality is there. But it is just my preference as I have loved the facial cleanser more. I can just use this as a make up remover more than cleanser.

Herbal Tea

I think this drink is a good pair for the snacks that I discussed in recent weeks. And yes, this is yet again another drink from the brand that I like, Twinings!

I have discovered that they have a line for Well-Being. it is composed of three herbal drink with natural ingredients chosen with care, rich in vitamins and minerals.

I chose ENERGY because I know that this is what I need the most everyday. And I am not gonna lie when I saw mango, I’m like.. okay, I do want to taste that!

It has an aroma of mango and pineapple with mint and ginseng with Vitamin B6. It is not a secret that vitamin B6 contributes to the normal energy metabolism.

This herbal tea has no caffeine and I am surprised.Well, this might be better than most teas I guess. Because this line aims to provide healthy benefits.

Lipid Replenishing Cream

This is a brand that I have loved during my 20s. I have tried some of their products especially the oily skin acne-prone line as I have suffered with acne.
Fast forward to my 30s now I have this nostalgic memory as I have seen Eau Thermale Avène recently on social media lol! I am not gonna lie. It drew me to find this again and revisit the brand.
My skin’s needs are different now than when I was younger so I have eyed their atopic skin type line.

And I have discovered ultimately the XeraCalm line.

XeraCalm aims to renew skin barriers and to comfort irritated skin with itchy sensation caused by dry skin.
The products are formulated to nurture and immediately soothe sensitive skin, dry skin, very dry skin and atopic skin types.

This is to guarantee the tolerability of the treatment also targeting the most sensitive skin types- especially the little babies and kids regenerating skin barrier long term. The very first product I have ever tried is the Avène Thermal Water. It was so gorgeous guys. If you have problematic skin this will refresh it. And to be honest with you guys, I have felt bougie at the time. Hahahahaha Guys, I was so young and the girl back then can only dream of products like this. And from there, my obsession to the brand started.

I do use this replenishing cream not only for the body but also for the face like most of my creams. I am glad to know I can and it didn’t give me any problems on my face.

I apply it everyday mostly in the morning after I wash my face and whenever I feel some itchiness or I see red spots on my face. I do use it after shower all over my body and I do apply it at night on my face too before going to bed!

So I conclude that this is really safe for the skin.
It is has no Preservatives, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and it is developed to minimize the risk of allergic reactions– that is your explanation!

Anti-irritation – Limits scratching – Replenishes fat – Anti-scratch

Avene cream has 100% useful ingredients to satisfy every family member’s needs. And it is always satisfying to know that both kids and adults can use a certain skin care product. Therefore this is also often advised by dermatologists.

XeraCalm A.D Lipo-Restoring Cream is ideal for the skin of babies, children and adults. So practically everyone can use this!

It is advised to apply the cream once or twice a day. No limited number of pumps, just pump the cream first to the palm in a circular motion and then spread it on the entire area of the body just don’t rub too much to avoid making the skin more fragile.

When it comes to perfume it got zero strong fragrance but it is very subtle but it kind of bothers me just a tiny bit. I don’t know what it is. It’s kind of a bit plasticky, I don’t know if it is the packaging or the product itself I am not sure.

I now remember how this skin care brand got me into falling in love with their products. This is something that you can get at the pharmacy, not expensive but not that affordable either. But every penny is worth it in my opinion.

If you have sensitive, dry and atopic skin type, I do recommend this. It is a cream so it is slightly thinner in formula than a balm, but the consistency is sticky but the skin absorbs it immediately. This is a thumbs up.

Rice Cakes

This is another gluten-free product which has always been a preference for me as a snack. Not necessarily gluten-free but because I love the crunchy simple snack plus the dark chocolate too! And I did mention how all the gluten-free snacks I have tried are yummy!

Although there are a lot of variants and flavors now, I do sometimes just get the plain ones, that is very basic hahaha But if I want to have a little bit more than basic then I always opt for Dark chocolate flavor like this. Very crunchy and very chocolatey!

The dark chocolate one I bought from Todis, it is a local supermarket near our apartment where I grocery shop very often.
And I really like it a lot. I have bought this again and again.

Nutritional Value per portion 1 pack has 4 rice cakes, and each portion of 2 35g:

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find more information about this particular brand. But I have found some interesting facts about rice cakes.

Rice cakes are made with the whole grain of rice. They contain all the nutritional properties typical of rice. To prepare them, the puffed rice grains are heated with steam and then pressed until the famous rounded wafer is obtained.

Benefits of a rice cake:

they are low in fat
contain less salt than some types of bread or crackers
they bring a good amount of mineral salts
brown rice cakes are even richer in dietary fiber
they are gluten-free (pay attention to those produced with added gluten rice)
they are practical to take everywhere
they are versatile and represent an excellent basis for preparing sweet and savory recipes

I do choose this over chips sometimes.
And I always say this, guys, I do eat chips and sweets when I want to, I just do in moderation. I believe that anything could be taken moderately. But in my mind sometimes I prefer rice cakes more than chips or more than sweet biscuits thinking that in some way, it is healthier. And yes, eating rice cakes for me should be moderate as well.

Face Sunscreen

I have loved another Spf from the same brand that I already featured here in my blog. And when I saw this, I got too excited and wanted to try it.

I am guilty of not using SPF all over my body during the cold season that is why I opted a face sunscreen instead hhahaha my dermatologists might roll their eyes LOL!

This is from the same line Nivea Sun which is one of the products I featured here in my blog. It says on the description about the product that it has a lightweight formula, zero perfume and it is especially formulated for sensitive skin. It leaves the skin hydrated, doesn’t clog pores and ideal for everyday use to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays especially from sun irritation, allergy and to maintain healthy skin.

This sunscreen protects your skin EXTERNALLY from UVA/UVB rays & the effects of High Energy Visible Light such as premature skin ageing. It also helps protect your skin INTERNALLY with powerful natural antioxidants.

This tube is 50ml, very cute and small that you can always insert in your bag if you want to carry it with you if you are out.

It is also mentioned as a reminder that reduced amount of quantity might diminish significantly the level of protection. Let it absorbed completely when applied.

Please be careful and avoid contact to eyes. And also avoid direct contact with hard surfaces and fabrics that could be stained.

And they also mentioned: to avoid prolonged exposure even with sun protection and that excessive exposure might provoke the harm of skin and don’t expose babies and young kids to the direct sunlight!

It’s been almost a month since I started using this everyday. I have finished up my other bottle of sunscreen. Ever since I turned 30 I am now very conscious of my skin’s needs. More conscious than I was in my 20s. It really does help a lot for skin protection, guys, so please do use this sunscreen if you can, it is really helpful.

I am not really happy about the consistency it is so “pastoso” as I would say in italian, it is not as smooth as I would like it when I apply it on the skin. But it’s ok, I do use another moisturizer so I can actually appreciate it after applying that.

It really is for sensitive skin as I didn’t got any irritation and I love that because my skin reacts immediately if there is something it doesn’t like.

The tube is very cute. I never realized that packaging is also important. I do prefer bottles and tubes rather than jars I just think it is more practical.

Plus it is affordable!

Guys, be mindful and please take care of your skin. I have always had a problematic skin so I try my best everyday. It is always unpredictable and so skin protection is one of my skincare routine.

Brown Rice Chips

I had a difficult time researching this guys, believe it or not. Because the website is all written in german LOL! I needed to choose the translation but it is not automatic in some pages. I am just gonna mention the more important description about the product that I think is interesting.

Guys, I should give it up to gluten-free snacks. This is not the first time I have featured one in my blog. And some others I have tasted but didn’t write about. I must say that this most are very yummy!!

This brown rice chip in particular is delicious and tasty but at the same time, it gives healthy benefit at work, sports or even in parties. In fact there are other flavors available not only Barbecue.

It says in the packaging that it is popped and not fried, it is made from whole grains. All natural ingredients with olive oil, no preservatives or artificial flavors and Non GMO. Crunchy, rich in fibers and low in saturated fats, added with a delicious seasoning. Barbecue is perfect! I love it and the way it is done, it is truly tasty.

Make Up Removing Wipes

This is another skincare item that I am currently using now. I just began last month when I have finally finished my miscelar water.

I have sensitive skin that is why I chose this variant. It becomes irritated easily so I make sure to always choose products for sensitive skin.

These are biodegradable wipes with no perfume and no alcohol. The formula is 100% natural ingredients, rich in Panthenol vitamin B for skin barrier, anti infiamatory, with rejuvenating properties so the skin will be clean and hydrated.

It removes all types of make up even waterproof make up items like mascara. It is of course safe to use everyday. Paraben free, silicon free and no microplastic

45% of the package is composed of recycled material and each pack has 25 pieces.

I have tried a lot of Nivea Products and unfortunately very few works for my skin. I have always been skeptical but I got curious and wanted to try this one out. Honestly, it’s been awhile since I used wipes for removing my make up so I wanted to revisit it again.

I am surprised that this didn’t cause me any irritations at all. So it is definitely for sensitive skin, I am relieved LOL

I can actually use only one wipe to remove the all of the make up on my face, eyes and lips so I didn’t have to bother with cotton and liquid make up remover. All in one swipe and I am good and then I am gonna proceed with either washing my face or using my facial cleanser. one pack with 25 wipes is approximately one month of use for me, and I do apply make up to go to work or when I go out. It is not bad at all, in my opinion. But if you do apply make up you also have to think about the cost of how much wipes would be in your budget.

That is all what I want to share with you, if you want to try it, I should mention that Nivea products are all affordable so no need to break the budget for a make up remover.

This is not the typical healthy snack that I feature here in my blog. But I want to share this with you not only because this is so delicious but also for all of you out there looking for a gluten free snack!

I feel like this is the kind of snack that I would most prefer to have if I can. I should admit it is not your typical snack that you see in the grocery store and I like the fact that I can stay healthy even with a few “bites”. I know I always say that every now and then I do splurge into snacks and sweets sometimes and that for me, it is more important to take things in moderation.

That is why having protein snacks like this being available in the market makes it easier for us to have more choices. And if I have the chance, I will always choose this.

I am all for eating whatever you want and need but just make sure this is also paired with a healthy lifestyle.

Irridiscent nail polish

In this article I am bringing you another nail polish which I like a lot.
Honestly, when I first got this I didn’t realize that the color is somewhat different from how it looks like in the bottle. And I grew to like it more and more as I continue to use it.

I have loved Essence nail polish ever since. They are very affordable and I like them so much. Not very durable when it comes to longevity but I think there is a price-quality equivalent.

For all Vegans out there, this one is another brand in the market available for you.
I am not into Clean Beauty, guys. This phenomenon in beauty is not backed by science, but whatever I am not gonna elaborate this idea but if you are into it, it’s up to you. I just think that even though Essence transformed into Clean beauty it is incredible that they are able to maintain their prices. The description says that their products now are deprived of microplastic particles in their ingredients.

The nail polish brush has a “double-touch” which I don’t think is new. The brush in their nail polishes didn’t change at all as long as I can remember. one swipe and the nails are covered but it’s up to you, I always do mine with a double swipe, still.

it is paraben free and oil free!

Being irridescent, the color has diverse color effects. It is green and blue but when the light touches it becomes pink. It is hard to explain.

I don’t know how they did this but it is incredibly amazing. It is irridescent guys! And it has multiple colors especially when the light touches it! OMG

Out of all the nail polishes I have featured here in my blog so far, Essence might not be the best but out of all the polishes I have ever tried I have always believed in this product, I have repurchased this again and again and that goes to show how I like it.

This particular shade is amazing and it is incredible having that multiple colors in one.

Essence have a large collection of colors, gel, quick dry formula so you have a lot of choices. I have been always a fan, not only of the nail polishes but also the other nail care items.

This is very budget-friendly so I recommend you check the nail polishes!
