This is another mascara from the Essence Lash Princess line, this time it is for volume and curling effect. It is pink, which differentiates it from the blue packaging of waterproof mascara.

It gives the volumising effect for full and perfectly curved lashes.

It has an almond-shaped fiber applicator which is narrow in the center and wider at the ends. This allows to reach all the lashes, both external and internal corner of the eye, for a full and intense look. That way, this mascara gives perfect curve and lash volume.

The formula is enriched with jojoba, sunflower and almond oils, it has a nourishing effect on the eyelashes while also providing hydration.

Just like the other Essence mascaras, it is paraben free, fragrance free, alcohol free. And I love that it is Cruelty free and vegan!!

It stays and doesn’t smudge at all. I am surprised that even though it is not marketed that way, the mascara is a make up that I can wear all day. And I agree about the volume especially the curling effect. I like my lashes whenever I wear this.

Another plus is that Essence is an affordable brand so it is amazing that it is accessible to everyone! I hope you try Essence mascaras, I think they are amazing.

Waterproof Mascara

I have tried a bunch of Essence mascaras by now. And I like them all so far. For the price, I think it is amazing how they have created a good product.

This is one of those mascaras that I like, the Lash Princess water-resistant mascara.

The brush is cone-shaped fiber brush giving length and volume for a false eyelash effect, and I agree that it does. I have short eyelashes so it gives me a little bit more.

The product description says this is a perfect mascara for an active lifestyle. It stays for a long time for sports like swimming and it also resists in tears of joy.

This product is paraben free, alcohol free and fragrance free. And like all Essence products, this mascara is vegan and cruelty free!!!

As what the description says, it stays all day, guys. And I have no right to complain LoL but it is marketed as waterproof and yes, it is truly waterproof. In fact, I can’t even take it off at the of the day and it persists until after I wake up, which is not a very good idea. Please just don’t sleep with your make up, especially with the eye products.

So I must say that is the only con. But actually it is also a pro at the same time as it shows to be what it is. waterproof as it claims to be!

It might be interesting to know if it’ll stay put at the beach as it says this is good for swimming sports activity as well. That should be great if it does resist on water.

I do recommend it. Just make sure that you have a good waterproof make up remover..

Brow Kit

I have always liked using powder eyeshadows for my brows in the past especially when I was doing make up baskets. So when my tatay gave this to me, I did imagine liking this right from the beginning.

A brow product is an essential make up product for me. I am really glad I found this because I like it so much. It lasts all day! I get to try a brow wax and specific powders made for brows and as you can see the large pan at the center, how it is being used so much.

For the price point, this is really good!

Eyebrow Cream

This is an unexpected product for me. It never occured to me to try a brow cream. My natural eyebrows are not even, so eyebrow products is essential for me. I have always opted for pencils and so when I tried this product, it came to me as a surprise.

The description says it contains a silicone resin, for a smooth and fluid texture. It has an intense color and waterproof. I like that it is super pigmented so just be careful lol! You have to have a hand using this.

I think this is really an excellent product. In my experience, yes this is waterproof, it stays all day. And that is the highest star rating for me when it comes to make up. I do use this everyday, I alternate this with my other brow product.

I would say, this is one of the best brow products I have ever owned. Highly recommended!

Brow Top Coat

This is a brow product that I am currently using. I don’t have any complaints at all.

It is definitely a strong hold eyebrow gel which holds for up to 30 hours. Now this claim is quite insane for a brow product. I don’t really know about that because I have never worn this for that long.

According to the product description, the formula is:

waterproof
smudge proof
sweat resistant
quick drying
no-transfer

It blends perfectly well with any other brow pencil or brow cream.

Because of the small brush, it is ultra precise in sealing the brows giving it the shape of your preference.

In my opinion it is sweat resistant, yes. And I like that it dries quickly after I apply it on my brows, I didn’t have to wait. My brows aren’t shiny and so dried up afterwards. And yes I do use 3 types of brow make up and they all go well with this gel.

I am satisfied but for a drugstore, I feel that the price is quite high although I got this during the sale. It is a thumbs up for me!

Lip Products

I am very much still happy about my lipstick collection. These are quite new, so I don’t think I need to buy more. I am just gonna go ahead and use what I have for now.

Still the two liquid lipsticks that I own. Not my favourite but until I can I would just keep on using them.

All of these bullet lipsticks I will keep… I am really happy so far.

Eyeshadows

I have to say that this category grew lol! I was successful in minimizing my eyeshadows during the last couple of years. I have decluttered old eyeshadows but new ones came hahaha! I didn’t buy them, my dad gave them to me so I think I will just have to try and use them. In fact I am quite excited to try new eyeshadows. Plus it’s free LOL!

These are the only 4 singles eyeshadows I own, I just want to continue and try to hit pan at least, if I won’t be able to finish them up. I have the two Colourpop supershock eyeshadows, still quite new so I will still keep them. Nabla and Make up Geek are getting old but I love them, I still want to give them a chance. In fact, the Make Up Geek formula surprised me a lot!! I am sorry the brand discontinued the business.

I don’t buy these anymore. I prefer eyeshadow palettes for a more complete look. So I don’t think I will add more here in this category.

This is the only liquid eyeshadow I have. I just bought it recently and I am curious how this will perform. I will definitely update you guys. This is the luminous eye tint liquid eyeshadow from Essence in Gleaming Charm.

These are still the two eyeshadow palettes I got from 2022 but began using only last year. I am enjoying them both. The MAC Eyeshadow x9 is really good. I can use it together with my other eyeshadows. Very neutral and very simple tones. While the Dior Backstage palette is more intact as you can see. I don’t know why but I am almost afraid to use it because it is so beautiful with the letter Dior embossed into the eyeshadows hahahha. It is so elegant and yes, wearable too. There is even an eyeprimer included so it is a good travel palette in my opinion.

Both are really cute to carry because of the size. You won’t have any problem inserting these inside your make up pouch.

This is a new entry from Bella Oggi Italia, the Color Affair Palette in Nude. I tried it last December and I intend to use it more this year. Again a cute mini palette and I guess wearable shades as well. So far I like it but I want more time to experiment.

Another palette from Bella Oggi Italia, the Nude Studio Glow. I love the mirror in here plus the blush and highlight! I am really excited to try it. The shades are all wearable, I am so glad my dad gave this to me. I will update you more later.

I have double palettes LOL! I am gonna try, but it is gonna be tough, guys. Of course I won’t even hit pan on these this year. The eyeshadows are very similar to the ones of both the palettes above from Bella Oggi Italia. The two highlighters are broken unfortunately but I will use these palettes all the same…

Last but not the least, this eyeshadow and face palette called Bloom Baby Bloom. This is the most complete out of all these palettes in here. Perfect for travel. It is very cute, it has wearable shades.

Eye Products

These are the only eye products that remained in my collection. I am not so stressed about having to force myself to finish them up and I get to use it constantly without thinking about the product going bad.

This, I am really proud. I have a couple in my everyday use and one in my pouch. I get to change every month, if I want the brow gel from Wycon Cosmetics or the brow kit from Wet n Wild. I have the brow pencil from MAC which is very handy when I go out.

I have two transparent brow gels, the one from Essence is a back up, I haven’t opened it yet. The Loreal is my go to everyday.

So far I am keeping all of these and I don’t feel the need to add more in this category.

I only keep one mascara at a time as I have always done. There is no use for me to keep multiples. I only have two eyes LOL!

This Lash Princess from Essence I started this January.

I don’t use eyeliners anymore. I used to when I was younger. In fact it’s one of the first make up items I have ever used.

But now, with age, my eyes aren’t young anymore hahaha plus, I am asian so there is only a few techniques to make eyeliners work. That is what I learned at the make up school.

I still can wear it, no problem but it’s not a priority anymore to be honest. I can do my make up without applying it. I kept this from Wet n Wild, I have this for awhile now, but it is still fine. Very much effective so I am keeping it still. I don’t use it as often as before, but I like the formula and when I need it or feel like I want to wear it, I have it.

These pencils are quite new except the Marc Jacobs one which I have purchased years ago but didn’t open and use just until recently. I don’t think Marc Jacobs Beauty still exists.

I like the formula, it is very rare to find a good eye pencil that lasts on the waterline.

Deborah Kajal is new. I am yet to start using it this year. My dad gave it to me just last december.

The eyepencils from Equilibra I have them for a couple of years now I think, going three and I even wrote an article dedicated to this brand because I love the food items and I didn’t realize I also own their make up.

They are not the best but I kept them. I like having a cream colored eyepencil as opposed to black ones so yeah, these will remain, the purple one, not bad too, if I want a darker color pencil I have it. I will still keep them for another year.

Complexion Products Part 2

Contrary to the first set, I have grown the number of the items in this category LOL! I started back in 2023 with just one item each and now here I am hhahahah! This isn’t how I expected this but I will try my best to use and enjoy them all the same.

BRONZERS

L’Oreal Paris Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear Matte Bronzer in Light Medium

This is the only bronzer I have owned since, and yes there is already a pan in the middle! That I am proud of! Of course this will remain in my collection.

BLUSH

MAC is the tried and proven make up brand for professional artists. I have loved a lot of their products for doing other people’s faces. I knew this is good so that is why I chose this. This is the only one I have and I am satisfied.

A new entry in this category, from Cosmi Milano. This is the Perfect Blush in 102. This is proud to be Made in Italy. And has the same peachy shade like MAC. It’s ve-ry pigmented! wow! And long lasting too! The packaging broken but this make up item will remain!!!

HIGHLIGHTERS

I am not a highlighter girl. I can literally live without this make up item. But since I have these, I will definitely use them if I can.

This is a palette from Bella Oggi Italia called LENU Les Nuances de L’Intimitè. It is a pretty nude eyeshadow palette with face highlighters. I have two palettes. the first one has got the other highglighter broken and gone. the other palette has the. highlighters destroyed. I am gonna use those until finally I can’t.

I am yet to use these palettes so I still don’t know about the quality..

Another new cute palette from Bella Oggi Italia which is Nude Glow Studio. It’s an eyeshadow palette with face products at the bottom. The highlighter is pretty much similar to the other highlighters in the two palettes.

I still have to try it out. So I’m keeping this as well.

CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHTER

This is my most loved contour product of all time. I love this Kevyn Aucoin is one of the most respected professional make up artists that I look up to. This product is amazing. Both contour powders and highlighter in this tiny duo are beautiful. Contour shade in medium is perfect and the highlighter looks natural for everyday look. I tend to use this more everyday rather than the glitters and metallics.

Another palette from my favourite, a bigger one with multiple items. I have travelled with this as well. I have everything in here, bronzer, blush, contour and highlighter. So if you need an overall face make up. This is it!

There is a bronzer, a blush and a highlighter right inside the palette from the Essence Bloom Baby, Bloom in 01 Make It Bloom. I like this a lot, it is very travel friendly because of the size, I have everything in here, i have the eyeshadows, too. These are all wearable, everyday make up!

I can’t wait to start again. I really want to try the new ones, I am excited!

Make Up Collection 2024: Complexion Products

I am so proud of my make up collection, it is quite minimal and I get to enjoy what I have.

This is the update in my collection featuring the complexion products.

These are the make up products that aren’t very easy to use up. I am really happy that I don’t need to stress about the products’ expiration date. I am really having a nice time using them.

Nothing is new here except for the face primer and the other concealer.

If you will check out my other articles or maybe watch my make up videos on youtube last year, these are still the ones that I have kept and I will continue to keep for this coming year 2024.

Essence Poreless Partner Primer

This is the new entry from Essence. It is very recent. I have decided to declutter the only two face primers I have owned for years.

I just realized I haven’t been reaching for them anyway and because of their age, I am afraid of having issues on my sensitive skin so I am careful.

I am still trying to figure out my thoughts about this product because I don’t use face primers often. That is also the reason why I don’t bother having only one product.

My tried and tested Maybelline concealer will always be number one!

The L’Oreal concealer is a mistake. It is not for me unfortunately but I am still gonna keep it. I have it so I will try to make it work.

I have decluttered the other foundations in my collection and I am keeping only these two.

Look at the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, I am almost done, guys, and again, the number one foundation in my list that I have purchased over and over again. But I would be honest with you, I would have finished this up by now if I was still in my 20s lol! Now I don’t wear as much foundation as I did, that is why it took me so long to use this. It will remain until I am done.

Power Fabric by Giorgio Armani is also beautiful but I have to form my final opinion just yet. Like what I said I don’t use foundation everyday anymore and I am taking my time enjoying it.

The powder section is still the same as last year. Three powders that I am keeping until I have used every bit of each. I am happy and satisfied so I don’t need any reason to look the other way.

Plus powders take a longer time to finish up. And even the longevity of the product is great so I am not worried.

I have a huge pan on both the pressed powders Chanel and Hourglass. And I have considerably used a good amount on the Chanel loose powder.

I am excited for an amazing make up year ahead!
