All-in-one Micellar Water

I did feature here in my blog the facial cleanser which is my all time favorite (and I think will always be).

I have been using that since I was a teenager. I have tried a lot of variants until I found the lemon one which suits my skin’s needs as I have extremely oily skin.

I am pleased to know that the brand came out with another product. And I am amazed that now, they have the micellar water too. Same variant: lemon!

They came out with other variants too so you have other choices depending upon your skin’s needs. First of all, I like the packaging than my favorite cleanser. This bottle looks nice, thin and compact. This is called the Eskinol Naturals Clear All-in-one Micellar Water.

My dad bought this from the Philippines last year and I was actually telling him no, I need the facial cleanser but he didn’t find it and bought this instead. I wasn’t even aware that this new product came out and actually I am not even sure if it is new or it has been in the market for some time now. But definitely the last time I visited the Philippine this wasn’t around yet as I can remember. (6 years ago lol!)

I was surprised at first as I was not sure if they have discontinued my favorite lemon product or if they have reformulated it into this new one. New packaging, new formula as it it not only a cleanser but a make up remover too.

I went to their website to check if my facial cleanser has been discontinued fortunately it still exists. Maybe my dad went to a store and it was sold out so he bought this instead.
I am actually thrilled to try this. I have no complaints. I have a bunch of back ups and after several months of using it I can now finally say that this is a valid product.

Like the other cleanser, of course this is a lemon variant. It is for oily skin so that is also a plus for me.

It says on the product description:
-it mattifies without overdrying
-gently purifies and nourishes the skin
-removes oil, dirt and make up

0% alcohol
and it is dermatologically tested formula

Just moisten the cotton and wipe gently on skin, eyes, lips. And that is it. no rinsing required.

And that is how I use my other favorite cleanser as well. Especially at night when I am too tired to wash my face and I am not gonna lie, I don’t always wash my face anyway. I have learned that during my acne-prone years. It does affect my skin and aggravate it more than it could have helped. So that is why I am so happy that I have my cleanser because I can use it to remove both make up and dirt on my face and on my neck too!

I think the difference is the alcohol as this micellar water got nothing. And that is the first thing that came into my mind. Because it is less refreshing as my favorite cleanser. Whenever I use this it doesn’t dry up quickly I noticed that I had to fan out my face before applying my moisturizer and my sunscreen in the morning or my night cream before bed. It is not a bad thing, I was just used to the other cleanser as I have used that in years. And the way I believe that alcohol is not harmful to the skin. I know that a lot of people hate that in their skincare I mean we are all different. Of course you have to avoid alcohol especially if you are allergic or you have skin issues and sensitive skin.

I have oily skin so I know that I like the feel of it. I can’t help but compare it to this new one and is more greasy than my favorite. On the other hand I do feel this is lighter and of course it is water I can expect that. Very very similar to my other favorite miscelar water.

I am surprised that even though I have sensitive skin it is fine. I was afraid at first because of the transition to a new product. But I am ok and I am glad.

This is not as excellent as my favorite but like what I said, this is very valid. If you need a very light miscelar water, you can try this out. If you also have been a lover of Eskinol for a time I just think that the quality is there. But it is just my preference as I have loved the facial cleanser more. I can just use this as a make up remover more than cleanser.

Lipid Replenishing Cream

This is a brand that I have loved during my 20s. I have tried some of their products especially the oily skin acne-prone line as I have suffered with acne.
Fast forward to my 30s now I have this nostalgic memory as I have seen Eau Thermale Avène recently on social media lol! I am not gonna lie. It drew me to find this again and revisit the brand.
My skin’s needs are different now than when I was younger so I have eyed their atopic skin type line.

And I have discovered ultimately the XeraCalm line.

The very first product I have ever tried is the Avène Thermal Water. It was so gorgeous guys. If you have problematic skin this will refresh it. And to be honest with you guys, I have felt bougie at the time. Hahahahaha Guys, I was so young and the girl back then can only dream of products like this. And from there, my obsession to the brand started.

I do use this replenishing cream not only for the body but also for the face like most of my creams. I am glad to know I can and it didn’t give me any problems on my face.

I apply it everyday mostly in the morning after I wash my face and whenever I feel some itchiness or I see red spots on my face. I do use it after shower all over my body and I do apply it at night on my face too before going to bed!

So I conclude that this is really safe for the skin.
It is has no Preservatives, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and it is developed to minimize the risk of allergic reactions– that is your explanation!

Anti-irritation – Limits scratching – Replenishes fat – Anti-scratch

Avene cream has 100% useful ingredients to satisfy every family member’s needs. And it is always satisfying to know that both kids and adults can use a certain skin care product. Therefore this is also often advised by dermatologists.

XeraCalm A.D Lipo-Restoring Cream is ideal for the skin of babies, children and adults. So practically everyone can use this!

It is advised to apply the cream once or twice a day. No limited number of pumps, just pump the cream first to the palm in a circular motion and then spread it on the entire area of the body just don’t rub too much to avoid making the skin more fragile.

When it comes to perfume it got zero strong fragrance but it is very subtle but it kind of bothers me just a tiny bit. I don’t know what it is. It’s kind of a bit plasticky, I don’t know if it is the packaging or the product itself I am not sure.

I now remember how this skin care brand got me into falling in love with their products. This is something that you can get at the pharmacy, not expensive but not that affordable either. But every penny is worth it in my opinion.

If you have sensitive, dry and atopic skin type, I do recommend this. It is a cream so it is slightly thinner in formula than a balm, but the consistency is sticky but the skin absorbs it immediately. This is a thumbs up.

Face Sunscreen

I have loved another Spf from the same brand that I already featured here in my blog. And when I saw this, I got too excited and wanted to try it.

I am guilty of not using SPF all over my body during the cold season that is why I opted a face sunscreen instead hhahaha my dermatologists might roll their eyes LOL!

This is from the same line Nivea Sun which is one of the products I featured here in my blog. It says on the description about the product that it has a lightweight formula, zero perfume and it is especially formulated for sensitive skin. It leaves the skin hydrated, doesn’t clog pores and ideal for everyday use to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays especially from sun irritation, allergy and to maintain healthy skin.

This sunscreen protects your skin EXTERNALLY from UVA/UVB rays & the effects of High Energy Visible Light such as premature skin ageing. It also helps protect your skin INTERNALLY with powerful natural antioxidants.

This tube is 50ml, very cute and small that you can always insert in your bag if you want to carry it with you if you are out.

Directions for use: It is advised to apply a generous amount before exposing your skin to the sun. And then reapply frequently, especially after bathing, after sweat or after using a towel to maintain the level of protection.

It is also mentioned as a reminder that reduced amount of quantity might diminish significantly the level of protection. Let it absorbed completely when applied.

Please be careful and avoid contact to eyes. And also avoid direct contact with hard surfaces and fabrics that could be stained.

And they also mentioned: to avoid prolonged exposure even with sun protection and that excessive exposure might provoke the harm of skin and don’t expose babies and young kids to the direct sunlight!

It’s been almost a month since I started using this everyday. I have finished up my other bottle of sunscreen. Ever since I turned 30 I am now very conscious of my skin’s needs. More conscious than I was in my 20s. It really does help a lot for skin protection, guys, so please do use this sunscreen if you can, it is really helpful.

I am not really happy about the consistency it is so “pastoso” as I would say in italian, it is not as smooth as I would like it when I apply it on the skin. But it’s ok, I do use another moisturizer so I can actually appreciate it after applying that.

It really is for sensitive skin as I didn’t got any irritation and I love that because my skin reacts immediately if there is something it doesn’t like.

The tube is very cute. I never realized that packaging is also important. I do prefer bottles and tubes rather than jars I just think it is more practical.

Plus it is affordable!

Guys, be mindful and please take care of your skin. I have always had a problematic skin so I try my best everyday. It is always unpredictable and so skin protection is one of my skincare routine.

Make Up Removing Wipes

This is another skincare item that I am currently using now. I just began last month when I have finally finished my miscelar water.

I have sensitive skin that is why I chose this variant. It becomes irritated easily so I make sure to always choose products for sensitive skin.

These are biodegradable wipes with no perfume and no alcohol. The formula is 100% natural ingredients, rich in Panthenol vitamin B for skin barrier, anti infiamatory, with rejuvenating properties so the skin will be clean and hydrated.

It removes all types of make up even waterproof make up items like mascara. It is of course safe to use everyday. Paraben free, silicon free and no microplastic

45% of the package is composed of recycled material and each pack has 25 pieces.

I have tried a lot of Nivea Products and unfortunately very few works for my skin. I have always been skeptical but I got curious and wanted to try this one out. Honestly, it’s been awhile since I used wipes for removing my make up so I wanted to revisit it again.

I am surprised that this didn’t cause me any irritations at all. So it is definitely for sensitive skin, I am relieved LOL

I can actually use only one wipe to remove the all of the make up on my face, eyes and lips so I didn’t have to bother with cotton and liquid make up remover. All in one swipe and I am good and then I am gonna proceed with either washing my face or using my facial cleanser. one pack with 25 wipes is approximately one month of use for me, and I do apply make up to go to work or when I go out. It is not bad at all, in my opinion. But if you do apply make up you also have to think about the cost of how much wipes would be in your budget.

That is all what I want to share with you, if you want to try it, I should mention that Nivea products are all affordable so no need to break the budget for a make up remover.

I have come to terms with my skin and I think it has improved a lot. Maybe because of age, maybe because I am more active now than ever, maybe even my work and home lifestyle are giving me less stress so all of these factors gave my skin a reform.

The product should be used as part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. each bottle has 42 capsules

A bottle has 42 capsules. It is adviced to be taken twice a day after breakfast and lunch, for at least 3 weeks. Within 15 days, the skin appears to be more hydrates, toned and healthy color appearance . it should be completed within 21 days. Repeat if needed.

I would repurchase this again if I have the chance (it is kinda not cheap LOL). I like the idea that this is actually a product for women. I would be honest, I noticed the difference more with my hair than my skin. I have extremely problematic skin you all know that and it is really tough to see any difference unless I do take a product more consistently, like several weeks or months. But with all the benefits that this supplement is offering, then this is great. The content is well-thought of when it comes to the needs of the skin.

As I always say, listen to your body. And please do note that supplements should be paired to a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. To my experience, I should always be careful with what I eat, that I should sleep well and exercise as it shows on my skin when I don’t take care of it in a lot of aspects.

Aveeno Dermexa emollient body wash

This is the emollient body wash from Aveeno Dermexa which can be paired with the emollient cream.

I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin after shower. It has no scent at all which is what I like about my skin care products because of my sensitive skin I do avoid fragrance. As I have mentioned, this is a product targeted specifically for dry skin types and atopic- prone skin.

More than the emollient cream I believe this has improved my skin a lot. I don’t experience itchiness anymore. The oats are fabulous, it truly does wonders on my skin. If you want to know more about oats, check out this article:

This is a discovery guys. I have always known Aveeno to be a baby brand and it is amazing that they also have a line which caters to skincare not only for infants and babies but also for adults. And another tidbit, it is part of Johnson & Johnson S.p.a.!

Out of all the body washes and detergents I have tried this is probably the one that I will purchase again. Even during this half cold half warm season LOL fall season, I mean, I don’t have to worry about my skin itching up again. I can definitely use this for both my face and body because it is really gentle. I can compare this with all of the other body washes, though they are all good, and I stand by my affirmations in all of my other articles, I truly feel that this is the best because of the long-term effects on my eczema. This is the only way to combat this problem, to prolong the acute stage ad prevent the flares.

So if you want to try this out, please do. It has the same pricing as all of the other farmacia prices and it is worth it. The only hassle is that not all farmacia carry this, at least here in my city so I am yet to find a farmacia to which I can go for my Aveeno supply. (I ordered this on amazon because I really couldn’t find it). If it is available in your city, lucky you!

Aveeno Dermexa Emollient cream

My skin has been problematic for almost a year now.

And during this moment that I have less issues, I think that Aveeno® Dermexa is another one of those skin care that have helped maintain this balance. You all know I had good results in almost all of the atopic skincare that I have tried and used but I just think I can now say that this might be the product that maintained everything in such a long while.

This is an emolient cream for both adults and children which prevents irritation and dryness by hydrating and soothing the skin for an immediate relief. It is a specific product for dry skin types and atopic tendencies.

The italian word for oats is called: “Avena”. And I think that is where the brand got its name. That is just my presumption LOL! But I think the name is very smart and very coherent to what the brand and the line is all about.

It in fact claims a long term effect for up to 7 days. And yet here I am religiously applying the cream every chance I get especially after shower.

It is adviced to pair with the shower cream for best results, and that I will of course talk about on my next article.

It has no perfume at all, I love that! It has high tollerance formula and therefore it is good for sensitive skin types like mine.

Aveeno is very proud of its three-oat formula:the triple complex with Probiotic oats.

Oatmeal is one of the most natural ingredients for skin care. It helps maintain hydration preventing the skin from drying out.
It also has the anti infiammatory capacity and antioxidants, too.

The description in their website says that because of its probiotic power, oatmeal stimulates good bacteria growth and microbiome.
This formula recovers the damaged skin barrier by protecting the skin from external damage like pollution, harmful bacteria and rigid climate.

The only thing that I can do is to maintain my skin to be healthy and use products that will prevent it from coming back. Avoid eating unnecessary unhealthy food, I think that is also important, guys. That is why I always say in all of my articles to listen to your skin and listen to your body. Be mindful of what you feel. I also believe that rest is a must. We are always busy that we sometimes forget about getting a good night’s sleep. Exercise is also not just a lifestyle but I firmly believe it is also very important and helps release some stressors in our lives.

Guys, I have been very transparent. In my quest to find the right product for my skin I have tried a lot and I should tell you that no matter what skin care we apply everyday, at least for me, I also realized that stress is also a part of eczema. So being constant with my skincare routine I try my best, guys. I really do. Like what I mentioned, don’t forget to rest and sleep if you have the chance. And I am still learning. I think that in all of the skincare, oats is fundamental. I will also discuss a little bit about that as well. I love oatmeal it is one of the food that I eat for breakfast!

Aloe Vera gel

This is not the first time I have talked about Aloe Vera but this particular product is another hero to my skin.

This is the aloe vera gel from ESI.

My skin is problematic you all know that. And I have been so scared to continue my skin laser hair removal treatment during the past recent months because of what I have experienced. I have long since did an update that luckily my skin has responded positively to the treatment from the dermatologist up unto this day that I am still very much consistent on my atopic skincare products. And my thoughts of wanting to continue the laser hair removal just went back to my mind.

I am so disappointed. I regret I did undergo into another session. And I am afraid I will never get to continue ever again.

My skin is just sooo sensitive. I am just done… like.. done. I have developed severe itchiness on the areas of the skin that the laser touched. So… no.

I just need to listen to my skin and be extremely careful. I don’t want to go back to last autumn when I suffered a lot.

The aesthetician told me to observe my skin and if I ever developed some rash, itchiness and redness, laser hair removal treatment must be stopped. And I should apply until up to 5 days: the aloe vera gel.

This is where it began…

Aloe Vera gel is nourishing and hydrating for the skin. This is 100% natural. It soothes dry skin, it offers protection and immediate action to help the skin recover from irritation and redness.

It is for all skin types. And I love the gel consistency because the skin absorbs gel very easily. I like gel products for this reason. Just massage the product delicately into the skin and you won’t experience any stickiness at all.

I got the 200 ml tube by the way. I just think that this will go a long way and not only for this specific situation but I know I can always use this whenever I need to. And this is hydrating so it is always beneficial. I think having one in your medicine cabinet is a must.

I am really glad I got this. It saved my skin from those few horrible days post-laser treatment. And I know I can always count on this with upcoming skin issues.

Ederm mousse

This is one of the top skincare items now. This is a mousse ointment prescribed by my dermatologist to have extra care for my skin. Ever since I have developed eczema as I have talked about in my other articles, this paved the way for me to be able to try out products specifically for atopic-skin types.

And I am really happy I have discovered this product. It is not like the creams and lotions that I have used so far. In fact this is the first time I have used a mousse skin care ever.

It is incredible. I didn’t even know that such skin care product even exists. I only know oils, creams and l otions only.I have always been in a quest for a good product for my skin issues since I was a teen but first time ever I have encountered this.

This is from Ederm by the way, it is pure vitamin E: restorative, emollient, anti-itching and antioxidant, useful for rebalancing and soothing sensitive or irritated skin. I like that when something itches on my skin it has an immediate effect. I just massage it lightly on the area of my skin where I have a rash and it is easily absorbed by the skin. It has no perfume, it is so gentle that it is suitable for the intimate parts and delicate skin of newborn as well.
There is no limit to repeating the application several times a day if it is necessary until the skin normalizes completely.

Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and fights inflammation. In addition, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the harmful action of free radicals on the skin, slowing down cellular aging and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin. I mean, I don’t know about that I can’t tell you that because I don’t use it for that purpose but yes I have began developing dry skin which is such a drastic change for me coming from a very oily skin type.

This vitamin E can also be used as a retard pad to form a protective layer, and can be covered by a light gauze to protect the skin from external aggressions.

It is a company of research and development and production of medical devices, food supplements and cosmeceutical products. It is the product of collaboration in 2004 in Milan between a group of professionals from Medicine, Biology and life science.

Nivea moisturizing mask

I have always wanted this to be constant in my skin care routine but it’s kinda hard. This is always been something I am cautious about because of my sensitive acne-prone skin. And so I always need to meditate before trying out masks hahhaha. LOL!

I have tried a bunch in my 20s. Some did make my skin better some I had problems with. So in the end I didn’t find the righ tone for me and so i decided to just plainly removed it from my skincare.

I don’t know why but lately I have been in a search for a mask that I can apply on my face. It’s been awhile and to be honest I still have sensitive skin but I don’t get much pimples anymore just like I used to. I think I am now more confident to try products compared in the past. And I found this at Acqua e Sapone where I shop my toilettries.

This is from Nivea. You all know that I am currently using the Nivea sun as my sunscreen protection. That is where I think that maybe this will also suite my skin. I only picked up one sacchette which is double actually so I got two.

The main ingredients tha Nivea is most proud about in almost all of their products are:

Hydra IQ: for intense moisturising and refreshes the skin

Aloe vera and vitamin E: the skin is hydrated and the skin is regenerated. these two ingredients make the skin fresh and soft.

This is targeted towards normal and combination skin. I am actually more oily than having combination skin. But I went ahead all the same. Aloe vera really got me LOL. But it is advised to not apply this near the eyes and the lips.

There is nothing much on the description on their website. It is just a simple hydrating mask and I like that it is basic that I can apply very easily.

I just make sure that my skin is clean before applying this mask and I leave it for 10-15 minutes, it can be removed using a tissue but I do wash this away because I apply this before taking a shower and I use it at least twice a week. But I took a note, because I usually don’t leave this on for more than 10 minutes. I immediately noticed that my skin is starting to itch by the time of over 10 minutes, and that is my personal experience, again, having a sensitive skin, please make sure that you listen to your skin, guys. Always do a patch test. That I have been doing ever since, on creams, masks, scrubs and all the other detergents. If you think that trying a skincare product on a small part of your skin and then you notice an itch or a burn, just don’t use it, trust me, immediately your skin is telling you it is not gonna be a good one.

So that is my experience about this mask. I am glad I’m able to try it. It’s really simple, if you want something easy that doesn’t take your time. Maybe I will purchase it again, maybe… I still want to continue using it until I finish the whole pack before my conclusion. I don’t think I will recommend this for those who have sensitive skin, that is for sure. Again, just make sure, you don’t leave it on for over the designated time. As of now, I am liking the after result. Whenever I use this, and then I take a shower, afterwards I do feel a difference. I feel that my skin is really smooth and soft. And that leaves me with a positive thought. I’m gonna continue to use it definitely.
